Axerra Announces New AXN10 Multiservice Access Device at SUPERCOMM2004

At SUPERCOMM2004, Axerra Networks announced the availability of the AXN10, the newest addition to Axerra’s family of pseudo-wire solutions. The AXN10 enables mobile/wireless operators, cable MSOs, and service providers with metro Ethernet or IP access networks to cost-effectively offer emerging Ethernet services plus traditional services such as T1/E1 private line, full-featured TDM voice, and frame relay to medium-sized business customers, over packet-switched networks.

Terayon and Axerra Enter OEM Agreement Enabling Cable Operators to Serve the Lucrative Corporate Market

To enable cable television operators to better serve the lucrative corporate market for voice and data services, Terayon Communication Systems, Inc., a leading provider of broadband access, delivery and management solutions, has entered into an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) agreement with Axerra Networks. The advanced solution combines Terayon's line of BW 3000 DOCSIS 2.0 (Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification) CMTSs (Cable Modem Termination System) and Axerra's family of AXN Multiservice Packet Concentrators and Access Devices, which Terayon has branded as its BWx line.

At SUPERCOMM2004, Riverstone Networks announced that it is establishing an alliance program with other industry vendors, including Axerra Networks, to accelerate the rollout of Ethernet services within the metro. The program pairs Riverstone's MPLS-based Ethernet solutions with Axerra’s complementary, best-in-class products to help service providers, multiservice operators (MSOs) and municipalities cost-effectively deliver a myriad of IP voice, video, and data services directly to both residential and business end-users.

Zarlink Semiconductors and Axerra Achieve Interoperability of Circuit Emulation Pseudo-Wire Technology

Zarlink Semiconductor and Axerra Networks announced the completion of interoperability testing for E1/T1 circuit connectivity over Ethernet/IP networks. The companies’ products work together to efficiently transport legacy TDM-based voice and data services over increasingly pervasive IP/Ethernet/MPLS networks.
