This agreement will allow Ericsson full rights to distribute and support Axerra’s award-winning family of AXN Pseudo-Wire Gateways and Access Devices™.

Axerra’s AXN family of pseudo-wire solutions enable wireless/mobile operators to substantially reduce operating expenses in the radio access network (RAN) while also furnishing an optimized migration path to 3G and beyond. AXN Pseudo-Wire Gateways and Access Devices integrate seamlessly with Ericsson’s end-to-end GSM/EDGE/WCDMA solutions to enable mobile/wireless operators to extend legacy voice and data services in native format as well as emerging IP services, over Ethernet, IP and MPLS networks. With those solutions, mobile/wireless operators can now use packet access networks (metro Ethernet, broadband wireless including WiMAX, DOCSIS HFC, etc.) as full-service alternatives to T1/E1 backhaul in the RAN.
