Tokyo and Boca Raton, FL – May 31, 2005 – Axerra Networks, Inc., “The Pseudo-Wire Company™” and leading provider of circuit emulation and service emulation solutions over packet access networks, announced today that it has signed a strategic distribution agreement with NTT Advanced Technology Corporation (hereafter referred to as NTT-AT).

Under the agreement, NTT-AT will distribute Axerra Networks’ family of AXN Pseudo-Wire Gateways and Access Devices™ to wireline and wireless service providers throughout Japan. “Axerra’s Pseudo-Wire solutions were a natural choice to leverage the routers and other packet products in our line-up to enable both emerging and legacy voice and data services. We’re pleased to partner with Axerra to bring the benefits of Pseudo-Wire solutions to the Japanese market,” says Shuji Arima, Senior Vice President and Senior Executive Manager in NTT-AT’s Communication Systems Business Headquarters.

AXN Pseudo-Wire Gateways and Access Devices enable a full range of layer-1 plus emerging and legacy layer-2 voice and data services over IP, carrier Ethernet, and MPLS networks. In addition to a wide-ranging combination of services, AXN Pseudo-Wire Gateways and Access Devices enable a greater degree of efficiency in existing networks and a smooth migration strategy to a single converged packet-based network without stranding any revenue streams from legacy services.

“The agreement with NTT-AT signals an important expansion of international operations for Axerra Networks,” says Gil Itkin, VP – Sales, APAC for Axerra Networks. “NTT-AT is truly a leader in providing complete communications solutions, combining exceptional technical support with a forward-looking mix of outstanding packet products.”

About NTT-AT

NTT Advanced Technology Corporation (NTT-AT) offers advanced technology solutions in information and communications. NTT-AT was founded in 1976 as a subsidiary of NTT, the largest telecommunications service provider in Japan. Since then it has grown rapidly, largely due to its close links with NTT Laboratories and its success in the technology transfer business. In the 1990s, the advent of the multimedia age caused NTT-AT’s business to expand explosively. It now covers almost the entire range of information and telecommunications technologies, including a variety of research/consulting services, sales of new products and system/network integration services based on state-of-the-art technologies.
