– February 14, 2006 – Axerra Networks, “The Pseudo-Wire
Company™” and leading provider of circuit emulation and service
emulation solutions, announced today the appointment of Gadi Tamari as
CEO, effective March 1. Mr. Tamari, a very experienced industry executive,
recently stepped down as the CEO of RADVISION (Nasdaq: RVSN) after leading
it successfully from 2001 through 2005, doubling its sales and increasing
its market capitalization by a factor of four. Mr. Tamari will also become
a member of Axerra’s board of directors.
Shlomo Dovrat, General Partner and Founder of Carmel Ventures, one of
Axerra's main investors, commented “We are excited to have Gadi
join Axerra. Gadi Tamari has an intimate understanding of the opportunities
and the challenges service providers face as they migrate towards next-generation
Packet networks. Axerra is in an exciting leadership position with significant
market traction; Gadi is a proven builder of companies, well respected
in the industry and is the right person to work with Gil and the team,
increasing Axerra's leadership position"
Gil Biran, Founder and current CEO of Axerra, will assume the position
of COO and retain his current position on Axerra’s board of directors.
In his capacity as COO, Mr. Biran will continue to drive Axerra’s
technology vision, managing day-to-day operations as well as research
and product development. With more than 20 years of experience in the
research and development of communications systems, Mr. Biran is highly
regarded as an early visionary for multiservice over packet and has guided
Axerra to the forefront of the Pseudo-Wire market.
Commenting on his appointment Gadi Tamari said: “I am excited to
accept the invitation of Gil Biran and the directors to become CEO of
Axerra. This company has a great solution with innovative technology and
a dedicated team of professionals driving this business to succeed. Plus,
Axerra has a great start, with an international presence that we will
use as the foundation to move the business forward to the next stage."
As CEO of RADVISION, Mr. Tamari skillfully used hands-on management of
sales and marketing to position the company’s technology as a fundamental
enabler of the VOIP, IP video-conferencing, and mobile video markets.
Prior to joining RADVISION, he was appointed VP of international sales
of Lucent Softswitch after the acquisition of Excel Switching by Lucent
in 1998 for $1.7B. As COO at Excel Switching, Gadi was instrumental in
its acquisition by Lucent, having responsibility for sales and operations
with special focus on international sales.

initiative to bring my friend Gadi Tamari on board as CEO, and I look
forward to our mutual success” stated Gil Biran. “I have known
Gadi for many years and he has a great reputation with experience building
successful companies and boosting sales. I believe that, as a fast growing
