| Boca Raton, FL – March
21, 2006 – Axerra Networks, “The Pseudo-Wire Company™” and
leading provider of circuit emulation and service emulation solutions,
announced today its expansion in the Asia-Pacific region by establishing
new operations in Singapore and India. These operations are needed to
support new deployments, advanced field trials, and the overall strength
of the communications markets in these countries and Southeast Asia.
Axerra’s Asia-Pacific expansion plans for 2006 also include additional
sales and support offices throughout the region to support the increasing
demand for Axerra’s Pseudo-Wire solutions.
“
Axerra is experiencing remarkable growth that validates our vision as well
as our technical and strategic direction,” observed Gadi Tamari,
Axerra’s CEO. “As a result of several large opportunities and
the substantial time-to-market advantage of our technology, we are accelerating
our plans to build out operations in Asia-Pacific.”
“
From day one, I have always expected Axerra to be a truly international
company based on vision and a technology with features that forward-looking
service providers need the world over,” said Gil Biran, COO and Founder
of Axerra. “Our new operations will enable us to better serve carriers
as well as our distributor partners as we support deployments in Thailand,
Philippines, Singapore, and Indonesia.”
The new operations will bring Axerra's AXN Pseudo-Wire Gateways and Access
Devices™ to a quickly growing carrier and service provider industry
in Singapore, India, and Southeast Asia, including mobile operators, Ethernet
service providers, cable MSOs, and incumbent carriers. Axerra Pseudo-Wire
solutions enable the complete range of both traditional and emerging services
over next-generation Ethernet, IP, and MPLS access networks.
For mobile wireless operators, Axerra Pseudo-Wire solutions enable backhaul
of all generations of voice and data services, including clocking, over
packet networks – including metro Ethernet, DSL, PON, hybrid fiber/coax,
and even WiMAX. Axerra solutions provide immediate reduction in recurring
backhaul charges while enabling the additional bandwidth needed for emerging
services. For Ethernet service providers and cable MSOs, Axerra solutions
enable the full portfolio of commercial E1 services for small/medium businesses
from their existing metro Ethernet and HFC networks. For incumbent carriers,
a multi-service aggregation strategy based on Axerra solutions enables
the carrier to unify the transport of all services on a single access network,
reducing costs and improving operational efficiencies.
“
These new operations are strong indicators of the focus that Axerra has
in the Asia-Pacific market and the commitment that we are putting into
local operations,” stated Gil Itkin, Vice President – Sales,
APAC. “The foundation for this expansion is real business growth,
and we expect to announce deployment with another new customer in Asia
within the next few weeks.”
The new operations are directed by Axerra Networks’ regional headquarters
in Hong Kong. For additional information on the new operations, please

The result is greater operational efficiency, new revenue opportunities,
and a smooth migration strategy to a single converged network, without
stranding any revenue streams from profitable legacy services. With
Axerra’s Pseudo-Wire solutions, service providers can convert
