Boston, MA –
May 23, 2006 – Axerra Networks, “The Pseudo-Wire Company®”
and the leading provider of circuit emulation and service emulation solutions,
announced today the opening of a new office in Korea. The new office
is
the latest development in Axerra’s continued expansion in the region
and follows the recently-announced opening of a training center in Korea,
as well as additional operations in Singapore and India. Axerra already has commercial systems installed with Korean operators as well as advanced field trials and new deployments underway. Axerra’s AXN Pseudo-Wire Gateways and Access Devices™ enable mobile operators, Ethernet service providers, cable MSOs and incumbent carriers to offer a complete range of both traditional and emerging voice and data services over next-generation Ethernet, IP, and MPLS access networks. For mobile wireless operators, Axerra’s Pseudo-Wire solutions enable
backhaul of all generations of voice and data services, including synchronization
information over packet networks – including carrier Ethernet, DSL,
PON, HFC, and even WiMAX. Axerra’s solutions provide immediate reduction
in recurring backhaul charges while enabling the additional bandwidth
needed for emerging services. For Ethernet service providers and cable
MSOs, Axerra’s solutions enable the full portfolio of commercial
E1 services for small/medium businesses from their existing metro Ethernet
and HFC networks. For incumbent carriers, a multi-service aggregation
strategy based on Axerra’s solutions enables the carrier to unify
the transport of all services on a single access network, reducing costs
and improving operational efficiencies. About Axerra Networks, Inc.
