"Wireless
Backhaul:
Technology Choices for Lower OpEx"
|
| |
On June 3, 2008 at 12:00 pm (New York;
5:00 pm London) Axerra participated in an informative educational
webinar on "Wireless
Backhaul: Technology Choices for Lower Opex."
Cellular operators are under a lot of pressure to slash
the cost of connecting base stations to their networks.
This Webinar reviews ways of achieving this by adopting
alternatives to traditional TDM circuits – alternatives
that range from microwave to such things as pseudowire connections
over IP/Ethernet infrastructure.

"Mobile
Backhaul Optimization:
2G, 3G, 4G, and the 'All-IP' Network"
|
| |
On September 12, 2007, Axerra
participated in the presentation of an informative and educational
Light Reading Webinar on "Mobile Backhaul Optimization:
2G, 3G, 4G, and the 'All-IP' Network."
Pseudo-Wires are a powerful technology enabling the transporting
of both voice and data traffic over high-capacity, low-cost
packet access networks. Recognizing the cost and operational
benefits of Pseudo-Wire solutions, mobile operators are
looking to migrate to packet-based backhaul networks. This
Webinar reviews the challenges of optimizing backhaul networks
to support 2G, 3G, and 4G services, and discusses the merits
of migrating to an all-IP network.

"Mobile
Wireless Backhaul
Using Pseudo-Wires"
|
| |
On July 12, 2007, Axerra
participated in the presentation of an informative
and educational Light Reading Webinar on "Mobile
Wireless Backhaul Using Pseudo-Wires."
Hosted by Heavy Reading Senior Analyst Patrick Donegan,
the webinar discussed how Pseudo-Wires can:
· minimize the cost of network infrastructure
between cell towers, base station controllers, and
mobile switching centers,
· support existing network architecture,
· provide a smooth migration from 2G and 3G
together with 4G,
· and much more.
Pseudo-Wires offer mobile wireless operators a full-service
alternative to TDM access and a means to substantially
reduce backhaul expenses and enhance profitability.

"Wireless Backhaul
Using Pseudo-Wires"
|
On November 1, 2006, Merrill Lynch hosted a webinar on "Wireless
Backhaul Using Pseudo-Wires" with Gil Biran, founder and COO
of Axerra Networks.
“Pseudo-Wire Emulation (PWE)
is an exciting disruptive, Ethernet-based technology being actively
considered by carriers as a lower-cost alternative to conventional
solutions,” states Tal Liani, Research Analyst
at Merrill Lynch. “Pseudo-Wires are based on Ethernet,
which is more efficient for bursty data traffic transport. Moreover,
from a cost point of view, PWE technology scales well, with price
per megabit declining substantially as the bandwidth increases.”

"Deploying Business Services
Using Pseudo-Wires" |
On June 28, 2006, Axerra Networks participated in the presentation
of an informative and educational Light Reading Webinar on "Deploying
Business Services Using Pseudo-Wires." Hosted by Heavy Reading
Chief Analyst Scott Clavenna, the webinar discussed how Pseudo-Wires
enable cable operators, mobile wireless operators, Ethernet service
providers, and incumbent carriers to transform any packet network
into a full-service alternative to TDM access, opening up new opportunities
for business services.

"Pseudo-Wire Technology for True
Convergence"
|
On November 3, 2004, Axerra
Networks participated in the presentation of a Light Reading Webinar
on Pseudo-Wire Technology. Pseudo-Wires (PWs) enable providers to
roll out a full complement of both emerging and legacy services
from their IP and MPLS networks.
Pseudo-Wire technology is a hot topic because it furnishes greater
operational efficiency while simultaneously enabling a smooth migration
strategy to a single converged network, without stranding any revenue
streams from legacy services.
Axerra Networks, "The Pseudo-Wire Company™," is
the leading provider of circuit emulation and service emulation
solutions over packet access networks. An early innovator of Pseudo-Wire
technology, Axerra continues to be a leading contributor to the
IETF's Pseudo Wire Emulation Edge-to-Edge (PWE3) working group and
other standards organizations.
