It is with much sadness that we
mourn the sudden passing on March 2nd of Yoram Henik, Director
of Hardware Development at Axerra Networks. He was a very special
person who was loved by everyone who knew him.
Yoram was the very first engineer to work at Axerra, and he quickly
distinguished himself as a gifted professional. Yoram was a loyal,
dedicated employee who was devoted to Axerra’s mission and
made enormous contributions to Axerra’s success. In fact,
many of Axerra’s products were initiated by him and resulted
from his ingenuity and expertise. His talent, aided by a phenomenal
memory and meticulous attention to detail enabled him to solve
the most difficult technical problems. His abilities and his willingness
to share his experience and expertise with others earned him the
admiration and respect of his colleagues.
As a manager, Yoram displayed an aptitude for effective leadership
that was combined with a very caring attitude. He was humble and
friendly, constantly willing to listen and help, and extremely
sensitive to the needs of his employees. He always took the time
to know about even the smallest family issues affecting those
on his team.
A colleague recently commented that Yoram was “an unforgettable
person; a truly unusual teacher.” Everyone at Axerra agrees.
He will be greatly missed by all.
